FM4 Interview: Nick Davies

Nick Davies is a giant of investigative journalism. He is the man who led the Guardian investigation into illegal phone hacking by tabloid newspapers; an investigation that led to a major soul-searching enquiry into press ethics in the UK. George Clooney was so impressed by Davies’ relentless pursuit of the hacking scandal, that he has bought the film rights to the story. Davies is also the bestselling author of „Flat Earth News“, a critical look at how falsehood and distortion in the media come from job cuts and over-pressured journalists. In this book he coined the phrase „churnalism“. He told Chris Cummins what that means.
