FM4 Interview with Elaine Liu on Being ‚Stuck‘ in China

The Corona Virus has put cities with populations as big as Austria’s in quarantine in China. Chinese Citizens are even barricading themselves in their homes, closing their windows and doors and staying at home as long as possible. How about people that actually live in Europe but have relatives in China? One such person is Elaine Liu , a 34year old design theorist/researcher who studied in Vienna at the Angewandte and lives in Berlin but she was visiting her 94year old grandfather in for the New Year’s celebration…. And is now trapped with him in his apartment. Gersin-Livia Paya happens to know her and spoke with her as she tries to figure things out in China.
